Before You Go Exploring in Tasmania

In Tasmania, councils declare areas where cats are prohibited. Contact your local council to understand what their policies are.

Many public areas such as reserves and state forests have been designated as prohibited areas for cats.

Getting There

In order to enter into Tasmania, cats can travel on the Spirit of Tasmania, but must be booked into a Spirit of Tasmania kennel.
