Munro

Munro loves adventuring and has even met a cow!

@munros_adventures

Munro loves sleeping, getting cuddled, watching birds in the garden and riding in the car to new adventures.

He loves eating regular dry and wet cat food & whipped cream and playing with a laser pointer or "fetch the ball".

What kind of adventures does Munro like to go on?

Places where there are trees to climb in or dig in the sand.

Tell us about your most memorable adventure

Walking near and in a small forest creek and Munro decided to stop walking and lay down in the water.

Why did you decide to train Munro?

Because we saw other catexplorers on Instagram.

Also we got Munro as a kitten so we could train him. Our other cats were older when we adopted them.

How did you train Munro?

First we trained him to wear a harness and walk on a leash in the house.

Then we walked in the garden and later in a quiet spot in the forest.

We introduced new experiences one step at a time.

What has been the most rewarding part of having a catexplorer?

When he walks confident (tail high in the air) on a leash in front of you.

What has been the hardest?

Adventures in open spaces near open water. He walks straight back to his backpack, his safe place.

@munros_adventures

In hindsight, what would you do differently?

Nothing

What advice would you give other humans training their catexplorers?

Have patience.
Let your cat decide how far it wants to go.
Buy a good backpack to carry your cat and make it his safe place.
Use a good harness (we use Puppia) with a rollup leash.

Is there another Catexplorer that inspires you?
